I remember the day the Halo 3 servers got shut down. I was driving a warthog around in a half empty lobby when I got the "disconnected" message. That's what real pain is. All yall had a crash out over an app that was effectively down for just 12 hours. All of you are WEAK

WZ right now feels like jumping into Halo multiplayer. It’s demon lobbies of players who haven’t put the game down since launch who don’t either work or have way too much time on their hands. I’m a CASUAL player.

I shut every app down that's taking bandwidth: browser, everything. The only thing you need running is the Windows Explorer.exe and the game tray .exe. In my case it's Steam.exe and the Halo Infinite.exe.

COD servers been down since last night so I'm on Halo!!

I feel like every AAA shooter is using cosmetics as "new content" instead of fixing their game. COD is overran with cheaters and performance issues, Apex is almost non existent at this point, Halo hasn't touched their game in months, and xDefiant is shutting down. This blows.

How about instead of a “legacy advisory board” for Halo, you just let the talented devs at Halo Studios do their job. Outside involvement, including by the publisher, will slow things down and muddy any creative vision. Let them cook.

I so want to be wrong. My favorite all-time game was made by a bunch of inexperienced college kids merging Halo and Portal. Now that they have funding, instead of doubling down, it seems the sequel merged about 6 other games. It feels like a messy homage to all fps games 🫤

When online console games were first introduced, I wouldn’t have imagined that servers shutting down would have been a concern and my hot take is they shouldn’t have been made if the goal wasn’t to remain online forever. I should still be able to play Halo 2 on my old Xbox

The only classic Halo game I will allow is a literal exact remake of CE, down to the gameplay mechanics. No new alterations besides graphical and audio enhancement. Same voice lines, only the FX effects re-recorded. And the ONLY improvement to the gameplay should be the physics.

when the original halo 2 multiplayer servers were shut down, you could stay in the servers until you closed the game. the "Noble 14" were the last 14 people online why stayed on for weeks. the halo community remembers their usernames. but imagine being the 15 person lol

I'm still not over Microsoft shutting down the Xbox 360 Halo servers. Those were my go to games man. Modern games are so soulless.
