.@Amtrak one of your employees today absolutely went above and beyond and made sure that my niece’s first concert experience was not ruined due to a mechanical malfunction that delayed us. I’d like to track down the great person who went out of their way to help me out.

our amtrak train got terminated due to a power line being down (thankfully on route 128 with commuter rail distance) so we had to switch lines. just realized i forgot my cookie on the original train… devastating

In case you were wondering whether Amtrak still sucks: Yes, Amtrak still completely sucks. Stranded on tracks for last 45 mins because of power outage. They guess another hour to 90 mins to restore power. People exiting to take Ubers. So much for my afternoon meetings in NYC.

Yo @PeteButtigieg I know it’s Election Day so you’re probably busy, but how the **** can an Amtrak train be 6 hours late in a serious system? A 1:40 arrival shouldn’t be expected after 2, let alone 7. And who makes up for all the cancelled plans and ruined trip?

Since my journey to Furry Migration I have been hearing more and more about The Borealis, and why Amtrak hasn't started a 2nd train on that route. The real answer why not is simple. It call comes down to the fact between Chicago and St. Paul most of that route is a single track
