.@Amtrak says its still "experiencing intermittent technical difficulties" due to AWS outage. Including--Call center & station staff unable to update existing reservations or process payments. Riders currently unable to book reservations online or the app

Was excited to take the next-gen @Amtrak Acela this morning. Trip so far: 1. Left 10 minutes late 2. Fancy 5G WiFi not working in car 5, but somehow everywhere else 3. Currently not moving and powered off just north of Philadelphia… Not bullish for the future of train travel

update, metrolink canceled the train due to mechanical problems and Amtrak canceled their train because one of their trains broke down near Laguna Niguel so tons of people stranded at the beach

Meanwhile, my nephew got stuck in the desert last week traveling Amtrak from Chicago to LA. No electricity, so no AC, toilets not working, took 6 hours to get a new engine. It's 3rd world level train service tho they might be better than this...

amtrak needs more funding man. our trip up to montreal was seamless, our trip down we had to wait for rails to be fixed, now there’s an engine issue, and on top of everything someone has decided to start rampantly farting

On Amtrak 134 now from DC to NYC. Train is late Air conditioning is not working in the car I’m sitting. There is a group of 6-8 peeps who can’t effing shut up. They think they’re at a block party In stead of on public transportation Amtrak SUCKS!
