After 7 days of outage, @CenturyLink has informed us that service was restored in our area. Except it didn't work for us. We went to all the troubleshooting this morning to no avail. They have treated us with the absolute disdain. See below:

Our BFF is 96 & needs to be able to call out. Looks like his landline with @CenturyLink hasn't worked since our power outage yesterday. Their 800 number is only good M-F. Tried clicking on "Let's Chat" online to try and get tech support and nothing happens. This is total BS. 😡
.@CenturyLink it’s absolutely ridiculous that we’ve canceled our service and you all keep charging us. We cancelled back in September! We now have a $400+ balance and we moved. We’ve spoken to 7 different people 7 times now. Fix this! Terrible company
STILL no internet service from @CenturyLink DURING March Madness. This is Day 6! I'm posted up at Sunrise Coffee in Gulf Place right now. Another 12-15 hour day ahead spent in restaurants using their internet service.

Ok who knows how I can get something done about centurylink claiming "up to" 8 Mbps down, .75 Mbps up that hasn't exceeded 3Mbps in years is not high speed broadband internet.

That's it I'm done with CenturyLink, the service is unreliable, you can't talk to a human, and they hardly ever send any people out to help with technical errors. Whenever there are three or devices on the wifi, all of them lose Internet access, and it takes 24 hours for reset
I've got fiber optic internet from @CenturyLink which is great except I'm in the middle of a multi-day outage, which is the third such outage in less than 6 months... WTF @CenturyLink is going on this is worse than the cable company's network reliability. Considering switching.
Anybody in Omaha still having issues with @CenturyLink outage? They told me it was supposedly fixed but still getting very slow speeds directly connected to modem and their tech support is very slow to respond.

CenturyLink left customers without Internet for 39 days—until Ars stepped in After over a month with no fix, service restored hours after Ars contacted ISP.
