In 2017, Level 3 Communications was acquired by CenturyLink, another major telecommunications company. Following the acquisition, Level 3 Communications became part of CenturyLink's business operations. Before the acquisition, Level 3 Communications was known for providing a wide range of services to enterprise, government, and carrier customers.
