Mediacom has an Internet outage in Des Moines’ Beaverdale neighborhood.

Mediacom is currently experiencing an outage in our area. This has impacted Columbus Community Schools phone lines. Mediacom expects this issue to be resolved this afternoon. Until this issue is resolved we cannot make or receive calls to our building and business numbers.

Mediacom sent out a tech and they seemed to get stuff working normally again. Even put in a maintenance order for our tap. So apparently lasts weeks area wide outage might have borked more than even I thought.

Hey @MediacomSupport , Your service went down for 16 hours. Since then we've all been losing internet every 20 minutes and having to reboot our modems to come back online manually. Next tech appt is 8 DAYS AWAY. Get it fixed, this is unacceptable.

Internet is a crucial service these days. Providers should build in redundancy in their networks but #mediacom evidently doesn’t as I have been down for 2 + hours. #**** company.
