Well, it’s simply raining, so you already know what this post is about. That’s right, another @MLGW power outage in all of Cooper-Young!

Lightning from the storm caused damage to an #MLGW electric substation, in turn causing an outage on a high voltage transmission line which impacted two other substations. Power to approximately 40,000 MLGW customers was interrupted for just under two hours. #MLGWNews

Power Outage Update: MLGW is expecting all power to be restored within 1-2 hours. It is suspected the outage was caused by a lightning strike. MLGW is currently rerouting power within the substations, and checking for any other damage.

How have I reported a 14 HOUR outage twice to @MLGW and they finna say I’m the first caller for a new reported outage… storms coming through the city weren’t even that bad

#MLGW said they're not having issues with meter readings?? 🧐 There wouldn't be estimated bills otherwise. @MEM_Council approved & @MLGW has spent almost $300 MILLION on smart meters since 2013. No one should still be having estimated bills. #Accountability #Memphis
