All who are experiencing the Optimum Outage in NY/CT/NJ. Try this, it worked for me. #OptimumOutage Mac: Go to the Apple > System Settings > Network > Wifi > Details > DNS Click the "+" Put in 8.8.8.8 Then add another: 8.8.4.4 Click "OK" For PC see next post 👇

FYI. For those affected by the @optimum outage, manually set your home router’s DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 and you should have working internet again.

I got an $80 credit on my bill when @optimum internet was down for over 24 hours. Call them and ask for the Retention Department. Tell them you're going to cancel and switch to Verizon.

This is ridiculous @optimum (or @OptimumHelp. You know we have jobs and work and lives that this major outage is severely disrupting, right?
optimum might be the worst ISP of all time. they couldn’t even detect their own REGIONAL outage. a 3rd party site detected it. and this happens often (not necessarily on this scale) how i wish i could literally have any other service.
