Large downtown Toronto hit by power outage Wed. Expected to last hours. Area: Don Valley to Church St. & Lakeshore to Wellesley St. Traffic lights out on Dundas, Richmond, & Shuter. Toronto Hydro aims to restore power by 1:30 PM. Transformer pole fire possibly cause. TTC unaffected.

Lovely @TorontoHydro outage in part of downtown... including my home with a 3 month old who only drinks warm milk 😭😭😭 - estimated time for power to be restored 2:30 pm.

Today’s power outage in Curran Hall, Scarborough lasted from 9 am to around 1:30 pm. Was apparently caused by a pole fire and impacted between 1000 and 5000 residents at the peak. Service was restored ahead of schedule, and I’m very happy about that. Thank you @TorontoHydro
