One month from today, we will see one of the (if not) largest closure of music channels globally. MTV's music channels will permanently close down and all music programming will cease (with the exception of the USA), leaving millions without an MTV that plays music.

Now my TL is starting with multiple ppl thinking the entire network of MTV is shutting down, and everyone is in their feelings 😂 Guys it's not,go look online and read that it is about a handful of European channels.

No surprise that MTV is shutting down its operations in Europe and let’s be real, it’s only a matter of time before the same happens elsewhere. The network’s been on a slow decline since the 2010s, ever since YouTube and streaming took over how we discover and consume music.
