Rant incoming... So Nintendo is taking down not only videos that feature their games shown on video either being played on Original Hardware (Nintendo consoles) or emulators but also GMOD content that has been around for YEARS. They're definitely out of control, man.

1. Nintendo does not use web domains for takedowns. 2. Probably not working for them 3. Nintendo will say anything they have to to protect their IP, but they do not have the resources to comb through decades of game mods. 4. Yeah 5. Yeah, but can be messed up people out there

The fact that they didn't develop this for the Switch 2 so it could have 60 FPS like the original game makes me think Switch games might be getting 60 FPS upgrades down the line(PLEASE NINTENDO). Otherwise, it would be an unprecedented mistake that could set an awful standard.

I feel the biggest red flag with this situation is why would nintendo wait so long to actually issue a takedown? There's no way Nintendo wouldn't have known that their assets were being used for mods.

Has a crossover ever really elevated a niche franchise before? Nintendo kept stuffing smash with FE characters, but the Wii and gba games didn’t sell. Feels like there are more factors in play.
