Capital One checking accounts were not available for days to customers. Such a long outage is very rare and it surely made the news. And the service provider was named and blamed - FIS.

Really getting frustrated with @AskCapitalOne. They knew they had an outage and didn’t notify us for two days. Then they sent an email that said the issue would be resolved Friday morning, which was a lie. I need paycheck, now.

This Capital One outage is ridiculous! For those of us for direct deposit that we have had for years in the same amount every 2 weeks- Why can't you advance us our paychecks until you get the issue resolved?

I was affected by the Capital One outage and I’m still going to keep my accounts. **** happens people. Technology isn’t perfect. It breaks. Capital one has been nothing but good to me.

There has been a major outage affecting over twenty banks (including Capital One) and yet I’ve seen little to nothing about it in the media. Direct deposit payroll for many thousands of people has not been accepted. FIS is the third party vendor that’s responsible for.

I’m posting this as a warning to all Capital One customers that were affected by the outage, DONT SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY YOU MAY HAVE RECEIVED!!! I got paid partially earlier today and then got paid the entire amount I was expecting.

Evidently Capital One customers were left twisting in the wind for a couple days as a system outage render accounts inoperative. Deposits work but withdrawals are borked.
