Why is @SouthwestAir acting like assigned seating is a win? It’s not. Their open boarding is what makes them efficient—assigned seats will only mean longer boarding times. This is also a result of their 2022 holiday scheduling crisis, the trickle down effects has been brutal.

~40% of @SouthwestAir flights delayed today in part due to bad NE weather and an IT outage.
SWA says it "temporarily paused departures this afternoon due to a brief outage that affected network connectivity to our dispatching and operations system. The system has been restored"

At @DallasLoveField - pilot just told us there is a system wide outage of @SouthwestAir and planes cannot prepare for departure. Been sitting at the gate loaded for over 45 minutes waiting for it to come back up so we can push back for takeoff. #dallas #Southwest

Hey @SouthwestAir … why is it that your customer service has gone down the drain? I’ve already wasted hours trying to simply change my last name on my RR and I’m told it will now take 60 days to process? …I’ve gotten my TSA and Passport updated already…
