listening to fortsy’s spooky experience n actually i had one recently, me n my colleagues had a programme and we stayed at an old airbnb, i got a room by myself n i sleep in the dark and i would see someone hanging upside down from the ceiling every night (3 nights)

To be honest, I'm currently traveling around cities and suburbs of Germany to choose a place where I want to settle down, because Airbnb isn't exactly the best option.

There was a planned power outage at our place today, so we booked into an Airbnb to avoid it. As it turns out the wild weather appears to have cancelled the planned outage at our house and caused one here at the Airbnb. Which strikes me as just a teensy bit ironic.

Sometimes I think about how right before COVID shut everything down I had planned a solo trip to a Lupe Fiasco show in San Francisco...in the Tenderloin...with an Airbnb within walking distance...IN THE TENDERLOIN. COVID probably saved my life.

There was a power outage at my Airbnb and the entire neighborhood, the host refused to fix it so I gave them one star, left a nasty review, raised an issue with Airbnb, cancelled them online, reversed the payment, doxxed them, harassed them for years and finally just killed them

Feeling really let down by @Airbnb right now. A guest left a review that clearly breaks Airbnb’s own policies, yet I’m told nothing can be done. After years of hosting, it feels like hosts have zero protection while guests can say whatever they want. Absolutely heartbreaking. 💔
