Latency = how long it takes
Bandwidth = how much can move
Fast pipe ≠ fast response.
Low delay ≠ high capacity.
Designing without knowing the difference is how systems fail.

Looks like Airtel is experiencing network congestion or total outage. Both my broadband and mobile data can’t stream anything right now. Even YouTube, which usually uses very little bandwidth isn’t opening. Sigh.

So after two months of troubleshooting I LEARNED that elgato 4k internal cap cards lack of ability to read the bandwidth was my issue.
HDMI 2.1 cables with 1440+ were making it simply not work. I had to turn down PS5 video output for the thing to even read it.

If I were going to strategically turn off the internet, I would first choose a list of products like Cloudflare (among others) and see how many sites those outages take out. It enables one to intelligently structure the take down with minimal bandwidth. Change my mind.
