instead of allowing players to keep playing or doing something to let people make a psn account in countries that werent allowed before. they just double down and now removed the game from being bought there on steam. Sony literally going "how can we make this situation worse?"

This is the fault of the development team. As the publisher, Sony mandates a PSN login to enable cross-play between the PC and PS5 versions of the game. You can eliminate cross-play, which won’t be missed by most PC gamers, and the PSN login requirement will not be a problem.

Well. 521 hours, Lv. 111 I love helldiver 2 for sure. Hmmm... I am not sure. I'm able to make a PSN account but if the player base drop down. I may do what it has to be done as well. For now, I guess I'll stay and see how it goes.

Precisely; the PSN requirements wouldn't even be an issue if the game was sold only in areas where PSN isn't available. The fact that it was means they just scammed over 100 countries worth of gamers into buying a game only to have access revoked for no reason.

Day 2 Xbox, PSN, and pc progression players having issues on battlefront 2. Missing content, for the entire player base. Reloading a save somewhat works, but re-locks after a game. We still play, and still want to enjoy this game. Can we get some support?

Holy ****. This just just makes the PSN thing even more of a non issue cause I completely forgot I had to make a US account to use the Nintendo eShop and I've been using it without issue since forever.

I thought the problem with what Sony is doing is because they’re implementing the PSN rule after they’ve sold the game, and are now telling customers they won’t have the game they purchased if they don’t sign up? #Helldivers2

the @helldivers2 and sony issue doesnt affect me cuz i play on ps5, but maybe im not understanding the actual issue here. its a playstation studios game. why wouldnt you at least just have a psn account? are they making people pay for ps+?

I don't play many games anymore, but this seemed like the rare gem in a field of ****. Seems like the PSN account linking was the source of many initial problems. Relaxing this requirement to get more sales would be dishonest, but this is somehow even worse.

Dear stupid, The issue with Helldivers 2 isn't just another account you have to make. The issue is that it wasn't required for 4 months. That the game was sold globally. That now a psn account is required. That hundreds of places can't make psn accounts.

do get a refund because forcing PSN requirement after dropping it at launch for technical issues is bs. most people ain't reading the small text box.

Since we no longer have a video game media... ALL Playstation MP titles on Steam will require PSN ID. (it already was the case) SP will follow. Playstation isn't backing down. If you want to play PS games, get a PSN ID. If not, bye! #PS5 #PlayStation5

I'm all for requiring PSN or Xbox account connection when playing PC games, but unfortunately PC people only want to give their information to Valve. But doesn't any online company require this now? Fortnite, WoW, Apex, Cod? The big issue is they added it 2 months later.

seeing sony double-, triple-, and quadruple-down on the whole "linking games bought through steam to your psn account or you can't play them" thing has me dreading the (improbable) pc port of bloodborne

There are two points to this issue. 1. Make a PSN Just shut up & do it 2. Sony willingly sold the game in countries that does not support PSN If the integration was planned all along then they have effed up. Two separate fights. Only one is valid.

Imagine being a Sony Bootlicker STILL after this. If your only retort is, “It’s just a PSN account, why do PC players hate console players so much?!” Then you’re on the wrong side of this whole issue.

This is the main issue with mandatory PSN account linking & creation. It wasn't that long ago that Malaysian gamers couldn't create a PSN account.

Seems the reasonable fix is just to continue as is with PSN as optional since the game is working as intended without linking it to Steam Account. But, seems Playstation Team is slacking and Bad PR is already done. #HellDivers2 #Playstation

It is kinda funny how much of a double standard this is. But at the same time Sony is notorious for having major security issues (but honestly who isn't nowadays) and PSN isn't available for a majority of countries in the world. Once again **** you @Sony & @PlayStation

I think launching HellDivers 2 simultaneously on PS5 and PC was a mistake. And having cross play, while cool, is obviously a problem unless PC players log into PSN..which they don't seem to want to do. I think if Playstation wants to put a game on PC it should be siloed.

....... So y'all knew. So you sold a product knowing that requirement to have linked psn would be a problem for your player base. If it was optional then there was no issue but now the player count is cut by 75%.

This is a gross misunderstanding. People aren't mad because they have to make a PSN account for the PSN account. They are mad because LOTS of countries can not make PSN accounts AND the constant data breaches Sony has had with PSN, lots of people are going to lose access to this
