Is PlayStation Network down? ❌

seeing sony double-, triple-, and quadruple-down on the whole "linking games bought through steam to your psn account or you can't play them" thing has me dreading the (improbable) pc port of bloodborne

There are two points to this issue. 1. Make a PSN Just shut up & do it 2. Sony willingly sold the game in countries that does not support PSN If the integration was planned all along then they have effed up. Two separate fights. Only one is valid.

Imagine being a Sony Bootlicker STILL after this. If your only retort is, “It’s just a PSN account, why do PC players hate console players so much?!” Then you’re on the wrong side of this whole issue.

This is the main issue with mandatory PSN account linking & creation. It wasn't that long ago that Malaysian gamers couldn't create a PSN account.

Seems the reasonable fix is just to continue as is with PSN as optional since the game is working as intended without linking it to Steam Account. But, seems Playstation Team is slacking and Bad PR is already done. #HellDivers2 #Playstation

It is kinda funny how much of a double standard this is. But at the same time Sony is notorious for having major security issues (but honestly who isn't nowadays) and PSN isn't available for a majority of countries in the world. Once again **** you @Sony & @PlayStation

I think launching HellDivers 2 simultaneously on PS5 and PC was a mistake. And having cross play, while cool, is obviously a problem unless PC players log into PSN..which they don't seem to want to do. I think if Playstation wants to put a game on PC it should be siloed.

....... So y'all knew. So you sold a product knowing that requirement to have linked psn would be a problem for your player base. If it was optional then there was no issue but now the player count is cut by 75%.

This is a gross misunderstanding. People aren't mad because they have to make a PSN account for the PSN account. They are mad because LOTS of countries can not make PSN accounts AND the constant data breaches Sony has had with PSN, lots of people are going to lose access to this

I wonder if Sony was planning on pay walling multiplayer in their PC games. Everyone signs up for a PSN account, then years down the line when more people have a PSN account, require everyone to pay for PSN+ to access multiplayer like they do with consoles. Just a thought.

You’re ******* joking. Im done with this game, mainly Sony. Better give refunds to those ******* people. Linking PSN is least of my concern, it was there from the start. The issue is non-PSN countries buying the game and getting shafted.

I wonder if this will be the biggest gaming franchise ever that a company (Sony) ruined in such a short period of time. Main issue is the mandatory Playstation Network login will not work for many countries where customers already bought the game.

The real problem as stated on stream, is that there are large portions of the world where Steam is allowed but do not have PSN. If Helldivers 2 was purchased there, and will not be able to be played because of that, that becomes a potential for refunds which WIILL be bad.

I also understand people having this issue where PSN isn’t available but this is likely a thing that was just overlooked by sony, and you can still get your refund on steam for the game. I imagine those who really wanted to could use a VPN to bypass this anyways though

I don't lnow how there are so many corporate shills in this whole debacle. The fact that the game has been working perfectly worldwide kinda shows PSN isn't required at all and the "technical issue" might not even been there and it's all just Sony's scheme to impress shareholders

Sony should force PSN overlay on every game they release on PC. It’s for their own good too. When PC gamers discover the greatness of PlayStation trophies they won’t bother with the trash Steam achievements ever again.
