Is Steam down? ❌

I will be requesting a refund from steam. Sony does not need access to my steam account purchases, my emails, my playtime. Had this been a requirement before I purchased the game, no problem but to make it mandatory after the fact is a ****** Bot move.

If you have issues with the psn requirements for HD2 (it’s been on the steam page since day one and is free to do) just unfollow me because you’re being toxic as **** and I don’t want that around me

I know the steam page had already listed the PSN requirement but it's funny they doing this now that Ghost of Tsushima will add an overlay with PSN features and now they saying it was a "technical bug" as the reason for the lack of PSN requirement on release.

I play this on my PS5 so this doesn't affect me. For the people I play with who go through Steam, a part of me thinks 'Sure, easy fix, just create a PSN account,' but they shouldn't have to. I also call bullshit on the DEV's reasoning. It's all really money based.

Even though this won’t affect me since I do have a PSN. There’s a huge issue with players who are from other countries who play this game but PSN isn’t available there… it also makes me wonder do players on Steam have to get PS+ to play Helldivers?

Personally, I don’t see it being too much of an issue given how some Xbox games on steam require a Microsoft/Xbox account to play. And I will still be playing this game myself. But they really should have had this be a thing at launch to have avoided this understandable backlash.

This was their steam page before the game came out. If you are getting bent out of shape that they’re fixing an error maybe try reading the entirety of a game’s page. And anyone else getting angry that “oh Sony is….” The game is literally owned by Sony, get over it

It's annoying sure but idk why people are tripping ***** over it. Ubish*t has been doing it for a while and I think EA does the same with the stuff they put on Steam. It's not shocking that Sony is going to pull the same ****. I don't have any intention of dropping the game myself.

Ah yes, technical issues, that would of course prevent you from refunding on steam because you have plenty of time in game. Who could have guessed?

If #HELLDIVER2 begins requiring a PSN account, will the game be inaccessible from Steam if PSN is down? I'm not sure how it works with crossplay, but if you've ever struggled to do something because the login page wasn't working, you'll know why I'm worried about it.

#Helldivers2 discord melting down and asking for refunds. And so am I. I don't trust @Sony @PlayStation. @Steam I need that refund. If I gotta dig through my old notepads to use a PC version of Helldivers when their security ain't worth ****, just give me my refund.

Hey @PlayStation, kinda bogus making us have to have a PlayStation account to play on Steam. I guess I won’t be able to play with my wife anymore because I’m not buying a 2nd subscription for her to play online. Where’s the fix for those of us that have console and PC?

@kumakobi And it hasn't been enforced in any capacity until months after release and tens of thousands of sales to steam customers which will now lose access to the game unless we make accounts on PSN. Not earning points here.

Forcing PC players to become part of the Sony ecosystem when they don't own a PS and it's been working this whole time is pretty ****. Idk make cross play optional if that's the issue. it also should have been better communicated in game besides the steam page warning

Locking steam players out of the game is the actual problem. You play SoT on PS5? xbox account required You play OW2 on Xbox? Blizzard account required Crossplay games are like this and have always been like this, they just ****** up with the timing but its not a new concept.

Not happening. Removing access from Steam players unless they make a PSN account and link it months after release is absurd. Review changed to negative and I have filed for a refund.

RAAAHHH let’s go managed to fix the dumb issue where on Steam Deck when playing Trails in the Sky it wouldn’t play the opening movie and instead it would just show a black screen with rainbow lines like a TV and then skip it I wasted like an hour tryna fix that **** 😭
