Would be very funny if Steam doubles down and won't lift the current restriction just to **** over Sony

I'm glad this issue has been resolved. However, in my opinion, I would feel as though that if @PlayStation wants any of their games to be linked to a PSN account; it should only be through the consoles and not pc. Or, at least in the PSN launcer/app and not through @Steam.

Didn't see an issue with needing a psn. It was on the steam page. PSN linking deep dicking 177 countries was bad change management and should have been flagged as a risk before the change proceeded.

As a reminder: Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on Steam (playing it right now) - completely SINGLE-PLAYER game, not any sign of multiplayer content, from EA requires to link an EA account with Steam and nobody has a problem with this ?

My problem is that an influx of negative steam reviews is the equivalent of a bunch of out of community youtubers talking about how NBA 2K is dead yet the game gets a gajillion purchases every release, it’s all show. for now player charts remain “normal”

I'm positive that Steam allowing refunds is the only reason Sony backed down re: Helldivers 2 drama.

Should I refund Helldivers 2? I'd there's going to be a lot of people that stop playing, they'll stop making content. And since they're accepting steam refunds I'm thinking of taking my chance so I don't get ****** later if servers are shut down and **** from money loss.

People think Steam will just issue mass refunds for Helldivers 2... Meanwhile, the comment section be like: #Helldivers2

The more I read about the Helldivers PSN issue the more is show just how unprepared and out of touch Sony was bring the PSN platform to PC. Sony didn't even realize steam and PSN had completely different region availability before selling Helldivers 2 lol.

@asoundeffect @helldivers2 @ArrowheadGS @PlayStation Couldn't sony just make guest accounts for steam players? That nobody has to actually make the account. It just makes an accounts links ur steam ID and no need for personal data. This would probably help region locked players too

@GiveMeBanHammer That's likely done by steam to stop refunds. Sony needs a foothold on PC to compete with Microsoft, so it's understandable they don't like being gaslighted to change the original requirement. I hope they find a solution to allow these regions to make PSN accounts soon.

You tell them making a PSN account is not the problem, the problem is security, not wanting to allow Sony to be connected to your steam, and other stuff. Their answer: "Wow you have it, then you have no problem connecting!" They're just mentally tarded, no hope for them.

hey @PlayStationAU @PlayStation and @Steam @helldivers2 trying to unlink my steam and playstation account, was told this. if this is in fact the case why is a PSN required if they're unable to see the two accounts linked?

I swear you're one of those who go on steam forums and say stuff like "oh you have a problem with the game? Mine don't lag so it's fake" Tbh you can disagree without being a pos for an entire week about it. You can't even understand what upsets people to begin with.

UPDATE. The news being circulated that you can get a Steam refund regardless of time played is false. I tested this myself just an hour ago.

At the time, it wasn't mandatory for PC players to link their Steam account to PSN. PC is world wide where PSN is limited, region wise. By linking your steam account, you're limiting those PC players in there respective regions. Remove the mandate, problem solved.

@LargeBig79 @Daniel72332525 @Itadori_Clive @lohipuikko @RoninRakurai They need a steam account for that other location then though, because keys are region locked to certain regions too. If the game is unavailable in their country, they can't use it.

What’s about the helldivers 2 psn account about I must be missing something didn’t really research it. but like I totally don’t like buying a game on steam just to it install another launcher or something like that but we do it for more then one game then why is this a problem?

@DCSYYC The ( Third party account required ) note is in the Steam data and description since the game launched or even before so yes they were aware in some countries the game would not work so they could have region locked it like they do with a lot of games.

I think it's really funny thinking that because of the Steam **** with Helldivers 2, PC players just want it to be moved to Xbox instead and just "shut down the Sony servers" Because that's just how it works, I guess

@madcap412 I switched to PC because my PSN got banned for PS Plus being set to auto renewal with no payment with no way to turn it off. No way am I thinking a PSN to my Steam.

Ive uninstalled #HELLDIVERS2 and requested my refund on #steam for this **** @Sony knows this is wrong...177 countries cant access PSN period, and subsequently their game, not to even mention their security issues Stand up for whats right here, please
